The question I get asked most often is ‘how do I book my newborn photography session when I don't know exactly when my baby will arrive?’

Rest assured that your Estimated Due Date (EDD) simply serves as a place marker in my diary, so I know roughly when to expect your call – once your baby arrives you simply get in touch to let me know, and arrange a suitable day and time. I allow plenty of wiggle room in my diary to accommodate for early and late arrivals, since as we all know babies will arrive when they’re ready! 

I find most of my clients book in with me somewhere around the time of their 20 weeks scan, however please bear in mind that my diary does fill up quickly – because of the necessary flexibility of newborn photography bookings, I only do a few shoots each week.

Most people enquire via the SAY HELLO form on my website, however please feel free to call me on 07887 524683 if you prefer. I do have my phone switched off during sessions, but once I turn it back on and see a missed call, I will call you back.

Once you have filled in the contact form on I aim to respond within 24 hours via email, sending you my availability around your EDD and a link to my full price list - I’m very proud of my open and honest pricing policy.

If you would like to meet before booking your session please do let me know, and I can organise a date and time for you to come to the studio to meet me, view my products, and have a cup of tea and a chat. 

Once you have paid your creative fee to secure the booking, I will confirm receipt, then all you have to do is enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and text, ring or email me to let me know your little one has arrived. The sooner you let me know about your baby’s arrival after their birth, the greater the choice of dates I’ll be able to offer you for your session.

I aim to offer everyone who books a studio newborn session a date before their little one is 16 days, though this can sometimes vary if your baby is born before 38 weeks, depending on birth weight. Lifestyle sessions are generally around 3 to 4 weeks after your little one's birth date.

Around two weeks after your session we’ll organise for you to view your images, please feel free to invite any family members, I know that grandparents are often just as excited to see the images!
