WHAT HAPPEN'S IF MY NEWBORN WON'T SLEEP AT THEIR SESSION
As a new parent, one of the most frustrating things you can experience is a baby who won't sleep during their newborn photo session. These sessions are often scheduled when babies are just a few days old, and getting them to sleep can be a challenge. However, with a little patience and some tips from experienced photographers, you can still get beautiful photos of your precious little one.
First, it's important to understand that not all babies are the same. Some babies are naturally good sleepers, while others may have difficulty settling down. This is normal, and it's important to be patient and understanding. Your baby is going through a lot of changes, and they may be more awake and alert than you would like.
One of the keys to getting your baby to sleep during their photo session is to create a calm and soothing environment. This means turning off any loud noises or bright lights, and making sure the room is warm and comfortable. You can also try rocking your baby or using white noise to help them relax.
Another helpful tip is to feed your baby before the photo session. A full stomach can help your baby feel more relaxed and sleepy, making it easier for them to drift off. Be sure to allow plenty of time for feeding and burping before the session begins.
If your baby is still having trouble sleeping, don't worry I have plenty of experience photographing awake babies, and at some stage they honestly will sleep, sometimes swaddling helps and personally I love a gallery with awake and asleep images it's the best of both worlds!
Remember that the goal of the photo session is to capture beautiful memories of your new baby. Even if your baby doesn't sleep the entire time, you can still get stunning photos that you will treasure for a lifetime. And, with a little patience and understanding, you can help your baby feel more comfortable and get them to sleep for at least part of the session.
